Our spacious classrooms and playground areas are used for a variety of learning experiences throughout the day. Learning occurs both inside and outside the classroom!
Undercroft and Assembly Area
The Undercroft and assembly area is a place where students and families meet each morning. School captains lead students in prayer and teachers share any messages for the day. At the conclusion of each school day, all classes gather in this area for dismissal. Many special assemblies and liturgies are also held in this space, near the flag poles, like Remembrance Day and special Feast days.
Basketball Courts
The basketball court provides opportunities for each grade to play on the court during lunch and sport lessons. Our large basketball court, with two basketball hoops and netball hoops, allows for a variety of different games. Playing basketball helps to improve motor coordination, flexibility, and endurance. It also encourages speed, agility, and strength. These skills are shown to have a positive effect on promoting a healthy lifestyle and encouraging more physical activity, which can enhance cardiorespiratory fitness and self-esteem.
Library
Our Library is a central working hub within the school and accommodates flexible learning options. It is a multipurpose space that students use for a variety of activities. Each week students are encouraged to borrow books of their choice to further develop their reading skills and comprehension. Students can also access this space to meet for lunch clubs like coding, chess and other games. This friendly and open plan space is also home to our Marion Mini Playgroup each week where toddlers and parents meet to build community.
